Unsubscribe me from Overdraft Fees

Recently I incurred several overdraft fees from my bank, Bank of America. Their overdraft fees are $35 per overdraft so you can see how quickly they add up. After becoming quite irate I researched on the internet how to get overdraft fees refunded and found quite a lot of good resources.
If you have a good record of not incurring overdrafts often you can simply ask them to remove the fees as a "courtesy". If you have been a longtime customer of the bank you should point it out to the customer service rep also.
Another method is to admit your error in keeping the account balanced, apologize for making the oversight and then mention that you have referred other clients to them. If you have to, threaten to close the account if the fees are not waived and tell them you will not refer people to their bank anymore.
If all else fails, you may want to file a claim in the local small claims court. It's relatively cheap to file and once they are notified they will most likely contact you to refund the fees if you agree to drop the case. You should also ask for them to cover your filing fee since this could have been avoided. There's no guarantee they will pay your filing fee but it's worth the try anyway.
