Lindsay’s Inferno Director Banned From Jail Visit
Matthew Wilder, the director of Lindsay Lohan’s new movie Inferno, told RadarOnline.com that he was banned from seeing the jailed actress and that he still hopes to start production on the film this fall.
Wilder – who is helming the project about the life of porn star Linda Lovelace – was turned away after attempting to visit Lohan at the Lynwood Correctional Facility.
“It was really frustrating because I wanted to see Lindsay in person on Saturday to try and lift her spirits,” he said. “I went down to Lynwood and filled in all the paperwork and waited in line for about 45 minutes only to be told at the last minute that I could not see her because she had used up all her visits. I immediately called her assistant, Eleanor, and she told me that she would in fact not be able to see anybody which was really frustrating.“I’m told Lindsay’s spirits are good but that it’s difficult for her, as it would be for anybody, to be locked up in a small cell like that.”
Still, he believes that the troubled star will be ready to start filming Inferno this year once she has completed a stint in rehab as part of the punishment handed out by Judge Marsha Revel.
“We had a producers meeting yesterday and if everything goes to plan we are hoping to start shooting Inferno around November 10, 2010, which would be great.
“To tell you the truth I don’t know if all of this publicity about Lindsay will be good or bad for the movie and we are all just itching to get started at this point.
“Hopefully, she can draw from her experiences and when she comes back from rehab she can shows everybody exactly what she can do. Despite everything we still have a lot of confidence in her and back her 100 percent for Inferno.” The young director has gone out on a limb to get Lohan for the role and is hoping that she can pull through for him when the cameras actually start rolling.
In Inferno, there will be some artful full frontal nude shots of Lohan as she tries to portray tragic porn star Lovelace.
Both Courtney Love and Anna Faris had been rumored to play Lovelace before Lohan emerged as the frontrunner.
In recent years, while Lohan’s personal life has been plagued with controversy, her movie career has gone into a tailspin as well.
Lohan has been missing from the big screen since 2007′s psychological stripper flop I Know Who Killed Me. Her last hit was 2004′s Mean Girls.

ACLU tells Lindsay Lohan she can use jail experience to help other inmates
The American Civil Liberties Union is using Lindsay Lohan’s term in a Lynwood jail to hammer home the group’s concerns about the L.A. County jail system.
“We know that going to jail is scary. But we can assure you that your experience at the women’s facility in Lynwood, outside Los Angeles, is likely to be starkly different from the thousands of others serving time and awaiting trial in the Los Angeles jails,” the ACLU of Southern California wrote in an open letter to Lohan posted on its website.
When the actress began her 90-day sentence for violating the terms of her probation on a 2007 driving-under-the-influence conviction, sheriff’s officials said they expected her to serve at least 13 days, which would bring her release date to Aug.1 at the earliest.
The ACLU letter cited various complaints made by inmates about conditions at the jail, saying some female inmates are treated in “sub human” ways.
The letter concludes: “Lindsay, even though it’s going to be difficult for you to be incarcerated even for a few weeks, rest assured that your celebrity is something that we who frequently visit Los Angeles’s jails see as an opportunity to draw attention to conditions in the jails. You will have a window into the world of Los Angeles jails, and we hope you will use it to talk to the press about conditions here.”

Lindsay Lohan doesn’t have to worry about loneliness while she’s at Lynwood Correctional Facility — because TMZ has learned she’s had a steady stream of visitors who aren’t family or friends.
Besides her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, we’re told Lindsay also spent some time with her probation officer over the weekend, and several other “professionals” connected to her case have come by as well.
LiLo burned up her weekly allotted time for personal visits, so it’s professionals or nothing for her until tomorrow — her one week anniversary of being in the hole.
By the way, Lindsay never got a copy of “The Old Man and the Sea” — the book she desperately wanted to read during her stay in jail.
Eh, wouldn’t have taken up more than a few hours anyway.

‘Free Lindsay’ Rally to Hit NYC Tomorrow
Tomorrow, here in NYC, fans of Lindsay Lohan are supposed to (it’s hard to find definitive proof on the matter at this time, other than an email we received) attend a “Free Lindsay” rally tomorrow to support the “troubled starlet.” It will be hosted by James Oliver of Beach Bum Tanning Salon, who is primarily responsible for keeping the Lohan family so well sunned. The ceremony will begin with a press conference, and a ribbon will be tied around a building on 7th avenue that will say, “We love you Lindsay! Come home soon.” How’s that for ripping off the work of Christo and Jean-Claude so elegantly?Beach Bum also held a similar event for Paris Hilton when she spent part of 2007 in jail for a DUI sentence, but this one is bound to be more relevant because nobody really cares about Paris Hilton anymore. The Beach Bums hope their “campaign” will “draw awareness to the harsh punishment inflicted on Lohan due to her celebrity status and that she will be released from jail before her 90 day sentence reaches completion.” We already know that she will, in fact, most likely be released early because she’s not a child rapist or a mother murderer. Lucky her, right?
In any case, if you somehow find out where/when it’s supposed to be because your mother doesn’t monitor your internet usage anymore, please consider not going because you’ll impede a bunch of corporate types from getting their lunches. And they’re the only ones who have more rage than a group of Lohan fans.

Lindsay Lohan ‘Making Friends’ In Jail
Lindsay Lohan has made friends with other inmates in jail, according to her lawyer.
The Mean Girls actress, who started her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, last Tuesday has reportedly ‘grown close’ to her peers in prison after settling in.
Despite reports she was being ‘taunted’ by fellow prisoners, her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley told USmagazine.com: “She is doing fine. She has made some friends.”
Regardless of LiLo ‘making friends’ in jail, she could only serve 9 days of her original 90-day sentence she was given for breaching terms of her probation for a DUI offence back in 2007.
Holley refused to confirm when the actress would be released stating: “I would like to ensure that she has received all the time credits to which she is entitled [from her previous time in custody]. I am hopeful that her sentence will be reduced once those credits are properly factored in.”
He added: “We are not asking for special treatment from the court or the sheriff, nor is she receiving special treatment.”
A prisoner from the jail where Lindsay is behind bars said recently that: “Lindsay was crying when she came in. She was handcuffed but seemed calm. We all started saying, ‘God bless you Lindsay,’ and saying, ‘Hi’ to her and then she smiled at us.”
Reports also suggest that Lohan’s ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson visited her in prison at the end of last week.

Pretty Wild’s Alexis Neiers: How Lindsay Lohan Acted in Jail
Pretty Wild star Alexis Neiers – who was released from jail Friday after serving 30 days for burglarizing Orlando Bloom‘s home – says Lindsay Lohan wasn’t coping well in the slammer.
In an E! News interview airing Monday, Neiers says she crossed paths with the actress, 24, at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., but they never talked.
“I did see her … no words,” says the E! reality star, 19. “She had an officer with her at all times.”
Lohan was located in the cell next to Neiers’, but she was housed in “a separate pod,” she says. “We were in protective custody, so it’s not like anyone can get near you. I just saw her a couple times, and I really wish her the best.”
The actress — who is expected to be released before the end of the month — “looked a little down,” says Neiers. “But you’re in prison, you’re in jail, ya know?”
Hopefully the jail experience will be as eye-opening for Lohan as Neiers says it was for her.
“I wasted my life,” says Neiers, who still has to serve three years of probation and pay $600,000 in restitution. “And I found a lot of things I wanted to do in life, and I was able to strip away the negativity.”

Lindsay Lohan — Plan Calls For California Rehab
When Lindsay Lohan gets out of jail she’ll head to rehab — almost immediately — but she won’t have to go far because we’ve learned Linds will get the court ordered 90-day treatment right here in California.
Sources close to LiLo say the plan is for her to enter a rehab facility somewhere in Cali so people in her camp can keep closer tabs on her progress.
Michael Lohan had lobbied for his daughter to enter a facility on Long Island, but we’re told that’s not going to happen.
Lindsay’s peeps most likely want to avoid a repeat of her 2007 rehab visit to Cirque Lodge in Utah. It’s a respected facility, but word is Lindsay treated it like a joke.

Lindsay Lohan Gets Lawyer Visit, Anxiously Awaits Release
Still behind bars as she’s six days into her term for probation violation, Lindsay Lohan received the second visit of the weekend from lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley on Sunday (July 25).
Having already used up her two allotted personal visits, the “Machete” actress’ attorney turned up at the Century Regional Detention Facility to keep her high profile client up-to-date while also checking in on her well-being.
Commenting on Lindsay’s state of mind, Chapman Holley told Us magazine, “She is doing fine. She has made some friends.”
And while recent reports alleged that LiLo would be released by weekend’s end, insiders now tell that they believe she’ll be freed before the upcoming weekend.
As for claims that Miss Lohan is getting special treatment from jail workers, Chapman Holley said, “We are not asking for special treatment from the court or the sheriff, nor is she receiving special treatment.”

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been brought to tears in jail, because her inmates have been calling her “fire crotch.” This actually sounds awful, made even worse by the dubious tale of her inmates “chanting” this nickname while she lays in her cell. One recently-released inmate explained: “Lindsay didn’t say nothing. She was crying though.”
Apparently the other girls are sick of seeing the starlet receive special treatment: “Like if she even moves, they put the whole facility on lockdown. It happens all the time,” a relative of an inmate explained. But with each teardrop she sheds, we know Lohan will come out of jail any day now, lessons, uh, learned the hard way: by being called a fire crotch. That’ll teach ‘er.

Jail Source: The Inmates Are Sick of Lindsay Lohan
As far as reports go, Lindsay Lohan is eating the same meals as regular inmates at the Century Regional Detention Facility. But that doesn’t mean she’s being entirely treated like the others.
“She’s not treated like if it was anyone else going to jail,” Maria Medina, a relative of an inmate at Lohan’s jail tells PEOPLE. “Like, if they even want to bring her new clothes or bring her anything, they put the whole facility on lockdown. It happens all the time.”
Medina, 40, says residents at the jail, based in Lynwood, Calif., find it unfair that someone they’re not even allowed to see is exerting so much control over their stay. “All the inmates are sick of Lindsay,” Medina says. “It’s almost like Lindsay Lohan’s here, but she’s not. Like if she even moves, they put the whole facility on lockdown. It happens all the time. For example, just yesterday [Friday], Lindsay had to go to the mini-clinic, and the whole place was on lockdown again.”
Los Angeles Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore denied Medina’s claim. “It’s business as usual. Lindsay’s getting no special treatment,” he told PEOPLE on Saturday. He also said there is no such thing as “lockdowns.”
As far as Lohan is concerned, she’s now apparently in a much better state of mind than earlier this week.
“[Lindsay's] doing well, she’s doing fine,” Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley tells PEOPLE. “Her outlook is definitely more positive.”
Despite speculation that Lohan was given exemptions when it came to visitation limits, Holley told reporters her client is playing by the rules, saying,”[Her family's] not allowed any more visits this week.”
Whitmore earlier this week told PEOPLE that Lohan received her visits during the week to avoid disrupting other families visiting on the weekend with ensuing TV crews and photographers.

Lindsay Turns Jail Stint Into Cash Cow
Lindsay Lohan may be behind bars, but she is making more money there than she’s made in the last year.
The actress managed to finalize TV and news deals the night before she went off to the clink. Sources tell Fox 411 that she locked down all her tell-all interviews already and she will likely be making seven figures when it is all said and done for her story from jail.
“On Monday night, the night before she had to report to jail to serve her sentence, she tied up all loose ends and signed contracts for exclusive television and print stories,” a industry source told us. “She’ll be doing major television sit downs after she finishes all of her sentence. Lindsay is going to tell everything about her experience in jail, she will open up about her entire life.”Lindsay’s mom, Dina, will also be a part of the interviews, but her father Michael Lohan will have no part in the tell-alls.
“Dina was a part of the team that brokered all the deals. They made phone calls, and set up the interviews within three days,” the source said. “They wanted to get it all done before she was remanded to Lynwood and they did. It is a small solace to Lindsay while in jail that at least she can continue to make money in some way.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay’s friend tells us that she’s struggling in jail but her friends and family believe that she will come out refreshed when she finishes her rehab.
“She’s tough, but being in a cell is hard on her. She cries daily and her emotions are up and down. Everyday is a struggle to stay positive, but we all believe that she will be stronger when she finishes her sentence.”
“This is the beginning of a long road that will put her on the right path,” sources added.

Lindsay Lohan’s Jail Thirst
It’s no secret that she was dreading her jail time, and now Lindsay Lohan is struggling to even get something to drink.
The “Mean Girls” actress won’t have access to bottled water until Monday (when the commissary orders are taken) and she can’t bear to drink water from the sink in her cell.
LiLo reportedly begged several jailers for water, with one of them telling her, “Just drink the milk from the day before.”And while she’s having a rough go if it now, an inside source says Lindsay will be making some serious loot when she gets out of the slammer.
The source reveals that Miss Lohan has already set up a million-dollar interview to talk about this whole mess once she’s free.

Getting settled into her temporary digs at the Century Regional Detention Facility, Lindsay Lohan is lined up for quite the lonely weekend behind bars.
Having been taken into custody on Tuesday morning (July 20), the “Mean Girls” starlet has already used up her allotted visits for the week – as her mother, Dina, and former girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, came to see her over the past few days.
Talking about jail protocol, Steve Whitmore told press, “Inmates are allowed two 30 minute visits a week, from family and friends. Those don’t include professional visits by attorneys. Ms. Lohan already has had her two thirty minute visits for the week.”And while inmates are usually required to have their visitors show up on weekends, LiLo got the weekday treatment over jail safety concerns.
Whitmore tells, “Ms. Lohan was allowed the visits during the week for security reasons.”
As for her upcoming outlook, the latest reports tell that Lindsay will most likely be released in early August before being let loose for the probation department to keep tabs on.

It looks like Lindsay Lohan’s jailhouse honeymoon is over.
A day after inmates cheered her arrival, some prisoners are already grousing about the “Mean Girls” actress.
Even though officials have insisted Lohan is treated like everyone else – beyond getting her own cell – rumors flew that the star is enjoying perks.
“She’s getting special treatment. Some inmates were getting pissy over it,” Debra Sickels, 30, said as she was released after doing 19 days for shoplifting.
Sickels said that during her stint, she was in the infirmary every day for medical treatment, “and the girls said they cleaned a special room for Lindsay. It had a regular hospital bed, a TV and a dresser for her new clothes and socks.”
Other just-sprung inmates said they heard Lohan was paying for special food and new clothes and had a female guard at her disposal and access to a private phone.
“She’s being treated like any other inmate in her classification. There’s no special treatment at all,” said Los Angeles sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.
The “Freaky Friday” star was jailed Tuesday to serve a 90-day sentence for violating her probation by missing a string of alcohol education classes this year.
When she arrived in handcuffs and tears, prisoners yelled out her name and shouted, “God bless you!”
Lohan is expected to serve as little as two weeks because of good behavior and jail overcrowding.
On LiLo’s second day behind bars, defense lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley stopped by for an hour-long visit, but didn’t answer questions. Later in the day, Lohan’s mom, Dina, and kid sister Ali showed up.
An exiting inmate said the jail was put on an hour lockdown for the visit.
“I sat there for four hours waiting to get released because of her,” said Sharell Gaines, 30, a Watts resident who spent a week in jail for traffic tickets. “They put us on lockdown and told us not to look. It’s discrimination. She’s a criminal, just like me.”
TMZ.com claimed that LiLo was given permission to take some prescription drugs while behind bars: the stimulant Adderall to treat attention deficit disorder and the sleeping pill Ambien.
Like all other inmates, she can spend up to $135 a week in the commissary for munchies like Spicy Velveeta Refried Beans, Spam, Kit Kat candy bars and Country Time Raspberry Lemonade, TMZ.com said.

Lindsay Lohan got some good news, for a change.
The actress, who began serving a 90-day jail sentence on Tuesday, is expected to serve as little as two weeks in jail with good behavior because of overcrowding, said the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department.
While in jail Lohan can’t smoke cigarettes, but she can still take prescription drugs.
Lohan is allowed to take the stimulant Adderall to treat Attention Deficit Disorder and the sleeping pill Ambien to knock her out at night, TMZ.com reported Wednesday.
The star’s estranged dad, Michael Lohan, told TMZ he’s upset because those drugs got his daughter into trouble in the first place.
Lohan, 24, reported to jail Tuesday after she was sentenced to three months for violating probation by missing alcohol education classes.
She was on probation for a string of drug and alcohol related crimes in 2007.
While LiLo can use the drugs in the can, she’ll have to follow up her jail stint with three months in rehab.
Powerful prescription drugs aren’t the only treats Lohan has access to in the slammer.
TMZ reported she’s able to score commissary gift packs with goodies like Spicy Velveeta Refried Beans and Spam.
Each inmate is allowed to spend $135 on snack packs every week. Other items for sale include Kit Kat candy bars, vanilla cookies, cheese curls and Country Time Raspberry Lemonade.

And, we’re told, don’t believe Michael Lohan put money in Lindsay’s commissary account — it ain’t there. The only person who fed the kitty is Lindsay’s business manager, Lou Taylor.

Lindsay Lohan out of jail by 1st August?
She broke down in tears when Judge Marsha Revel announced her jail sentence. A day before she was to turn herself over to the authorities, reports erupted that she was reluctant to do so and was still hoping for some miracle that will save her from spending time in pokey. But that was not to happen.
And Lindsay Lohan had to taste the food ofjail as she surrendered to jail authorities yesterday and was taken into custody.
But there is good news for the Freaky Friday actress. She might already be getting a break on her 90-day jail sentence. Earlier there was news that she will have to spend some 22 days in prison. But recent reports claim that she won’t have to spend more than 14 days and can see her out of the gaol by 1st or 2nd august.
“Lindsay Lohan will serve 14 days,” Los Angeles County sheriff’s department spokesman Steve Whitmore told RadarOnline.com. “Lindsay Lohan’s projected release date is about August 1st or 2nd.”
She doesn’t get to go home after her release, though. As per the sentence, after her time in jail, she will have to spend 90days in a rehab house to go through de-addiction treatment.
